First Editions - Rare and Antiquarian Books

AbeBooks is not exactly a household name.

Like its more well known counterparts, you can buy the latest bestsellers. You can also buy, sell or trade textbooks.

However, AbeBook's forte is in rare and antiquarian books.

The selection of rare books is wide and deep. In its Rare Book Room, book collectors and post their profiles and sign up for their free newsletter.

You can read back issues of The Avid Collector which features articles on book care and collecting.

But perhaps the most interesting part of the site is the Rare Book Seller Directory, where you can find the names, addresses and specialties of rare book sellers from around the US.

You can also learn about upcoming book shows, how to care for old books and links to fine rare and collectible books like Easton Press fine leather bound editions and hard to find First Editions.
