Using Price Guides to Value Comics

Whether your collection consists of one comic book or ten thousand, you want to know what your books are worth.

The major factors determining the value of any single comic book is its rarity and condition.

Of course, the better the condition, the more your comic book will be worth.

When buying or selling a book, triple check for missing or loose pages, bent corners, writing, rips or other imperfections.

Any defects need to be disclosed if the seller wants to maintain credibility and integrity.

. Once you have made a purchase, you should do everything you can to preserve it.

For an unread comic, this means leaving it unread. Put it in a protect sleeve and store out of direct sunlight and away from heat and humidity.

Used and older comics should be handled with utmost care. Paper tends to get brittle with age and the last thing you want to do is accidentally break off a piece of a page of a valuable collectible.
